Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, sent music fans into a moment of expectancy after his recent social media post hinted a possible high-profile collaboration with internationally acclaimed award-winning Ghanaian rapper, M.anifest, in future.
In wake of controversy surrounding M.anifest’s recent single ‘Rapper 101’ where he slams the modern-day musician for their sometimes pretentious, arrogant and condescending lifestyles, the Gringo hit-maker took to twitter on Monday afternoon to rave about the god-emcee; lauding him for his agreeable understanding of ‘who an artiste should be’.
Shatta Wale posted to the 2013 rapper of the year’s twitter handle @manifestive: ‘I like your mindset about who an artiste should be. Keep being real cuz SM loves what you do.’
With M.anifest having already spoken highly of Shatta Wale in a recent interview -where he admitted to having great respect for the highly influential dancehall artiste- coupled with Shatta Wale’s equally deferential post to the Ghana rap icon, music fans have all but concluded that the two artistes’ public declaration of admiration for each other would only lead to one thing: A song collaboration.
Some fans also believe that Shatta Wale and M.anifest having a shared history of beefing BET award-winner, Sarkodie, at different stages in their careers would provide the real incentive needed to get the two artistes to join forces in the studio.
