The freshly released freestyle, ‘My Advice’ by the multiple award-winning rapper, Sarkodie, is an obvious affront to the self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale, following his recurrent jabs at him over the past few weeks.
Once close buddies, the bromance between the two got severed after Shatta Wale remarked in an interview on Hitz FM that the SarkCess Music boss was insincere about dealings with him, compared to the ones he (Sarkodie) had with Nigerian artistes.
Sarkodie, evidently fed up with his former friend’s constant shenanigans which has seen Shatta Wale call him ‘poor,’ has launched a shrewd onslaught titled ‘My Advice’ on the controversial ‘Amount’ singer.
No names mentioned, no talk about big mouths, yet he did not pull his punches. The rap god classically douses everything Shatta Wale claims he is or has into a slurry of cow dung.
The track blasts Shatta Wale for misusing his powers as Sarkodie raps about how his “colleague dey enjoy in name tarnishing,” and questions if anyone was interested in Wale’s “chicken-change properties.”
And this line: “five years in the game you’re still scared; oh God lemme just say it how it is,” all but calls the outspoken dancehall artiste insecure.
With this release certain to leave Shatta Wale reeling from some of the punchlines fired at him, one thing is predictable. Sarkodie could be hit with a letter soon.
