Football Fan Gets on a Crane to Watch Game After Stadium Ban

A football fan of second-tier Turkish football club Denizlispor, is the most dedicated football fan on earth at the moment, going viral for staging the ultimate comeback to his one-year stadium ban.

He was banned from entering the stadium for one year, so the enthusiastic fan hired a long crane – the type that would be suitable for changing street lights – and had it park just outside the stadium, to lift him high above the stands so he could watch his team in action.

The incident happened on Saturday April 28 at the Atatürk Stadium in south-western Turkey.

The man who according to reports is known as Yamuk Ali, is quite known by fans of Denizlispor due to his funny persona.

With a big flag and a small scarf of his club’s colours, the man watching from above the stands, became the centre of attraction, stealing attention from the match before being brought down by police later.

And yes, his club made his antics a little worth the effort. They won by five goals to nil.

Bill Shankly may have been right after all. Football for some, is more important than life and death.
