The Esi Yankah foundation is set to launch its “1 million Parents Project” on 25th November, 2017 with the objective to transform the face of parenting through knowledge sharing in adopted underprivileged communities. The core message of this project is to highlight that Parenting is a shared experience, not a one way approach.
Starting with about 30 parent volunteers who are parents and expecting parents, it will be a lifelong transforming activity for volunteers to build friendships and impact the life of other parents in under privileged comunities while learning from them. Parents will be paired with other parents to build a lifelong mentoring, training and friendship relationship. We believe we can impact the lives of parents from community to community by giving, sharing, listening, advising, training, motivating and taking action.
“1 million Parents Project” targets parents, both mothers and fathers, single or married, pregnant or with children between the ages of 0 to 5 years.
According to Esi Yankah, “This is our little contribution towards achieving the millenium development goals and to help build our nation.” The first destination of the project will be Prampram; a town in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, located in the Ningo-Prampram constituency.
The foundation is now accepting donations of clothing and food for both men and women. Products for pregnant women. Food, clothing, toys for kids between 0 to 5. Cash is also welcome. Follow on Facebook: The Esi Yankah Foundation or Send a whatsapp to +233203325043.
